Mayor of Ardabil:
The city of Ardabil was proud of having an accountable mayor like Mr. Baba Safari in 1952-1953. The ecnomical and political difficulties were the major problems of all cities in Iran, including Ardabil. Mr. Safari inherited the huge debts in the city's office from the former mayor of Ardabil; he used his special wisdom and rationality and with asistance of people , he achieved a lot. The city office solved all its finacial difficulties and got surpluses in its budget. The achievements of Mr. Safari were huge in many aspects; he planned many projects and implemented them.

History of Baba Safari:

1938-1943,Baba Safari As A Teacher & A Principal in Schools (Ardabil):

1938-1943, Mr. Safari worked as a teacher and also as a principal in schools of Ardabil.He studied law in the school of the law at the Tehran University from 1945-1958 and at the same time he studied Philosophy, Pedagogy and Public Administration in the college of Danesh-Sara-Ye-Allee in Tehran.He was graduated in the law in 1948 and in his second education, in philosophy, pedagogy and public administration in 1949.

1949, Baba Safari Was Deputy Director In Ministry of Culture of Ardabil For 18 Months:
In 1949, he was appointed as deputy director in Minstry of Culture in Ardabil;he served 18 months in this position. After doing his services, he came back to Thran.

The Ministry of Culture appointed him as the principal to one of the most known school of Tehran, Abou-Reyan-Brooni High School.

In autumn of 1952 to August 1953(the military coup by MI6 of Great Britain and CIA of USA againt the democratic government of Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh), he was forced to resign because of his leadership in the pro-democracy movement in Ardabil.

Mr. Baba Safari was a popular mayor in the history of Ardabil; many people of Ardabil tried to hide him while the CIA-Placed Shah on the peacok throne (Takht-e-Tavouss) and his agents like the colonel Massoumi(the new chief police of Ardabil), were trying to put him in prison.

People helped him and Baba Safari thanked from all of those, who suppored him; the governor of the CIA-Placed Shah on the peacok throne (Takht-e-Tavouss) in Tabriz invited Baba Safari for obedience and cooperation, but he rejected accepting any humiliative positions, no matter as a minister or wahtever; he didn't want to be a puppet of the them.

He left Ardabil for Tehran and continued his studies in Public Administration; he received his master degree at the Tehran University.

He got a scholarship in the same filed in Italy; he spent more than six month in that country for developing in his field

Baba Safari, As Assistant to Deputy Prime Ministers in the Iranian Oghaf & Piligrimage Orgtanization (IOPO) For 17 Years:

1960-1978, about 17 years, he was assistant to deputy prime ministers of Iran (Dr. Manouchehr Azmoon and Mr. Ahmadi) in the affairs of Oghaf and Pilgrimages in Iran.

The achievements of Mr. Safari in the oghaf affairs are huge and admirable; as a matter of fact, he made this organization from old and an traditional alms and waqf institute to one of the most successful institution in Iran and in the Middle East; his plans for waqf and pilgrimage issues were respected in many islamic ountries. We must not forget that the "Organization of Oghaf And Pilgrimage" was the second wealthiest organization after the Iranian Oil Compnay. The great man of history of Ardabil preveneted from origination and expansion of AIDS and VIRUSES in the "OGHAF & Piligrimage sector of Iran" while many corrupt politicians and pseudo-religious clerics were looking forward to steal and misuse the wealth of this organization.

Many religious clerics (Sunni and Shii'a) were receiving monthly wages from the Oghaf & Piligrimage of Iran, especially in the time of Mr. Ahmadi, who was the deputy prime minister and the head of OGHAF of Iran.

Mr. Baba Safari was the father of reforms in the traditional Oghaf and Pilgrimage; he changed it for better functionality through a scientific management; and people of Iran were proud of having such accountable and responsible statesman in the head of the Oghaf country.

Mr. Safari was in the service of God; his obedience to the messages of holy Qur'an was known. He respected women kids in the equal levels because he thought that the mutual respects between adults (men and women) and kids are essential for a healthy society. Without a healthy society, Baba Safari emphasized, we will not achieve any progress in our country. His wife, always, received the highest respects and understanding in their marriage. Mr. Safari couldn't understand, why some clerics and religious people are humiliating women and kids in the name of God and Islam.
He said: Many people, even they don't understand the real meaning of Qu'ran and that's why some religious opoortunists are riding on the ignorance of people and promoting hatred and injustices against women and kids in the name of Islam and God.

The Sabalan.org describes Sabalan Mountains in Ardabil so:
"One of the most interesting mountains of Iran, with an altitude of about 4,800 m., is Sabalan which is originally a volcanic mountain. The summit is located 41 km. from Ardabil and can be easily observed while traveling on the road to Sar Ein and Ardabil.
